Get ready to add some color to your summer! The Fargo Public Library invites all ages to participate in the Color Our World summer reading challenge which runs from Monday, June 9, to Saturday, August 23. This year’s theme celebrates color and creativity and offers a summer filled with engaging stories, weekly special events, performances and activities for all ages – kids, teens and adults. This program is designed to inspire readers of all ages to discover and explore all that the library has to offer. The Summer Reading Challenge is free and open to readers of all ages, from babies to adults, and all reading levels. Everyone is encouraged to read, create, and learn this summer at the Fargo Public Library. 

All Fargo Public Library events are FREE and open to the public.

West Fargo Public Library

2025 Summer Boost Program

Summer Boost is the West Fargo Public Library’s annual summer reading and learning initiative designed to encourage people of all ages to read and learn all summer long. This year’s theme, Color Our World, celebrates different colors, creativity, and artistic expression and invites readers and creators to explore a vibrant summer filled with books, activities, and hands-on experiences.

This year’s program includes:  

  • a free summer reading challenge for ages 6 and up 
  • a free early literacy activity challenge for ages 5 and under 
  • hundreds of free activities at the library for people of all ages
  • weekly summer bookmobile route with the Library on Wheels (formerly Little Red Reading Bus)

Moorhead Public Library

Go WILD about Reading this summer! Youth and teens are invited to read to win amazing prizes through July 31. Participants can bring their reading log to the library for every 20 days of reading to select a prize and then enter the grand prize drawing!
